When is the best time to visit Lapland?
Lapland is a year-round destination, but each season offers a completely different kind of magic.
For the Northern Lights and snow, the season runs roughly from late August to early April, peaking in the dark winter months. Summer brings the Midnight Sun and endless daylight, while autumn offers crisp colours and quieter trails. Tell us what you’re hoping to experience and we’ll help you choose the perfect time.
Can you see the aurora from the igloo?
Yes, the Igloo is designed to be a cozy place that allows you to enjoy the Aurora even from you bed.
But please be aware that Aurora is a natural phenomenon that is only visible with clear skies and a decent solar activity. That means if the sky over Sky View Igloos is cloudy, unfortunately the Igloo won’t help to see the Aurora. If that’s the case the best way is to join one of our Tours. Click here to read more.
What is included in the price?
Your stay includes everything you need for a comfortable Arctic night, plus a delicious daily breakfast.
Every reservation comes with bed linens, towels, and daily cleaning. Additional perks—like having breakfast delivered straight to your igloo, extra meals, or transport—can be booked separately to build your ideal holiday.
Check-in & check-out times?
Check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out is by 12:00 PM (noon).
If you have special requests regarding arrival or departure times, just contact us after booking — we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Early arrivals and late departures may be possible depending on availability.
What is not available in igloos?
The igloos do not include a washing machine or a fireplace.
If you need to do laundry during your stay, nearby laundromats in Rovaniemi offer convenient services. There is no fireplace, but the igloo’s modern heating keeps it warm throughout your stay. We also don’t provide rental cars directly — these can be booked from local providers at the airport or city centre.
